The goal of this activity is to gauge the satisfaction level of team members on the focus area of the retrospective. It’s a visual of the team in the current moment, and can be used for deeper discussion, analysis and tracking over time.
Duration: 5-10 minutes
Steps
- Introduce the activity by commenting that the team will create a baseline measure they can reexamine in the future to track progress
- Review the histogram definitions and distribute physical/digital blank notes. Ask each member to write a number from 1 to 5 to indicate their satisfaction level
- Keeping the response anonymous, collect the notes and ask a volounteer to mark the chart. Read the number on each card and. Wait for the marking
- Read the results of the chart. Ask for comments (you can comment yourself on the numbers, noting we will keep track of them)
